Hello there, Healthy Living Friend!

I'm trying out a new format for my emails - I'd love to hear what you think!

We got a reprieve in the HOT DRY weather we were having and now there's a bit of chill in the air. I love it, since it was sooo hot. I'm still working on helping my son get back on his foot, clearing up our mucked up backyard, etc., and just trying to get things settled now that he's getting more mobile and I'm not running marathons around the house to get him All. The. Things!

He's making a ton of progress--I'll share photos soon with more details if you'd like. Hit REPLY and tell me if you'd like that. He's eating a TON while his bones work on healing and the second recipe here is one he's been loving.....

Focaccia Flax Bread

I know, it's summer----but like I said, it's cooler this week and I'm making it again. 4.5 batches. I'm not kidding--see in the post why and how. So yummy and can be made in a flax (make that 4.5 flashes). Yummy egg-free option!

Sugar-free Fudgesicles

These Sugar-free Fudgesicles are the perfect "tastes like the real thing" treat whether it's hot or not so much!

7 Tips to Prevent Lyme Disease

Yup--It's summer aka tick season. ICK! Lyme is no joke. Ask me how I know. Keep tick and Lyme away with the helpful tips in this post.

DIY Rinse Aid (3 Ways)

I'm actually working on a DIY Dishwasher Detergent (almost done!) but these DIY Rinse Aids work great, are SO inexpensive and so much better for the environment!

Easy DIY Hairspray

Did you know--store bought hairspray is loaded with hair DRYING alcohol? No bueno! Make this DIY Hairspray instead to keep your locks healthy

Stop the Stink with a FREE Clean Deodorant and 20% off - (or Get 2 Gifts if You'd Like.....)

Stop the stink and the toxins and get a a free deo from Beautycounter.

With any new email to BC, you can get 20% off pretty much anything PLUS a Free Rose Deo (I love this deodorant--non irritating, helps absorb sweat, and smells amazing). And you can refill the container with any of their great scents (including the one our son loves--Sequoia).

BC's never done a free gift with their 20% off offer, so this is great!

If you'd like, you can also join their membership for only $10 and get another $44+ gift and I'll cover that $10 fee for you this month! You can see more details about all of this in this email.....

Reach out with any questions about skincare, broken foot care--anything at all :).

Oh, and I know I promised photos of our terrible house repair and backyard nightmares--life and a broken foot have gotten in the way. Please let me know if you'd still like to see those. I suspect you won't know whether to laugh or cry! 😂 😭. Might be good therapy for me to send them.....

That's all for now--see you again real soon!

Warmly (but not too warm),

~ Adrienne

Hello again, Healthy Living / Truth Seeking Friend, Years ago, I was reading a book about Healthy Teeth, and the author said something that threw me for a loop. I was much nearer to the beginning of my healthy living journey and was using a fluoride-free, natural toothpaste, but the author of the book said that if there was GLYCERIN in my toothpaste, then it was coating my teeth and preventing them from remineralization. 😲 You can imagine how I felt heading running to the bathroom to check...

Hello there, Healthy Living Friend, It's so not a good feeling when you read that something you've been eating to be healthier turns out to NOT be so healthy--or even deadly?! In case you didn't see it, there's a study is in the news that's apparently links ERYTHRITOL AND HEART DISEASE. Scary stuff. I admit being concerned (I mean, who wouldn't be, right?). I use erythritol fairly often for baking, even though I don't bake as much these days. But I like it! But I had to put my big girl...
